Safari

Safari in Arabic means the jour ney. This word has been taken over by the Swahili language. Technically speaking we are selling an African Wild Life Safari. Safaris generally start in Arusha , or Dar es Salaam. There are three main areas to view the wild animals that make Tanzania so special. The world famous Serengeti/Ngorogoro wildlife conservation area, the Selous Game reserve and Ruaha National Park.  These are conventional parks, in that they are a large chunk of Africa where the animals roam at will, and these parks, protected by the rangers Tanzania National Parks Authority. (TANAPA) or the Ngorogoro rangers.

Then there are the less well knows parks and areas of Tanzania that are just as special and yet very different. Mahale National Park in the west, is home to the Chimpanzees, and Lushoto and Amani are famous for their birds and forests. Deep inside Tanzania and near the Selous Game reserve (now a national Park) are the Uluguru mounains and their breathtaking beauty. Sadani national park is the only park on the Beach.

We can include any of these into your itinerary. Indeed Tanzania has so much more to list, if you would like to do it, we can make it happen. We have access to charter flights and vehicles that can land at any bush strip or drive into any remote area. Some travellers prefer to take a landrover/landcruiser and guide and drive through the whole of Tanzania from one end to the other, taking in the mountains, a few parks and ending by the sea.

For the first time Safari goer, we generally recommend a 5 day 6 night safari that takes in Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara the Ngorogoro conservation area and the Serengeti. This allows you to see the lions of Seronera, the flamingos of Manyara, the elephants of tarangire and the dramatic scenery with game, of the Ngorogor conservation area.

If we don’t know something about Tanzania, we do know someone who does.  And we will make it happen for you.
