Swahili Divers is the AQUALUNG distributor for the United Republic of Tanzania. We supply Government institutions and dive shops from as far south as Mtwara to Northern Pemba. We can supply your needs.

EQUIPMENT HIRE

We recommend, that to better enjoy your dive holiday, recreational divers bring their own gear. This ensures that your mask is moulded to your face, your booties and fins fit you perfectly and that the regulator you choose has the performance rating you require. There is no comfort substitute for properly maintained personal equipment. We cannot recommend strongly enough, that where possible, you bring your own equipment.

However we realise that many of you may have climbed Kilimanjaro, or been on safari and that you don’t want to carry your equipment around with you. If you can bring your own mask fins and regulator, you will increase your comfort levels! Equipment hire costs $30 a day.

For beginners, long term travellers, intermediate divers on a multi activitiy holiday and students, we have our own, properly maintained equipment. Here is a list of what we have at the time of writing:

 

*We have new Aqualung calypso regulators. Calypso All are serviced regularly to international standards.

*We have Sea Quest Waves Buoyancy Control Devices. .

*We have 5mm Safaga wetsuits.

*Our fins are Typhoon bootie type, or Aqualung Slip on. You choose your style.  Our 5mm booties are made in New Zealand .

*Our cylinders are Faber Steel 10L, 12L, made in Italy to EU specifications. We use the superb British-MDE valve all DIN and INTERNATIONAL fitting. All of our cylinders are visually inspected annually and Hydrostatically tested every five years. (as per TZ specifications).

* We have a range of masks and snorkels that we buy from two companies to allow us to have the widest range to fit your face.

*We also have basic underwater cameras for rent and dive computers.
