Dive Master Internships:

Every year Swahili Divers takes in two certified dive masters on internships. Due to our highly seasonal business climate we require professionals for specific and short periods of time. Most professional dive masters understandably want a full 12 months employment, something that we are only able to extend to dive instructors. One of our previous clients (Uwe Preuss) requested that he be able to come to Pemba over Christmas and dive master in order to keep his underwater experience. Uwe was a highly competent Dive Master but he felt that being a management professional in Dar es Salaam did not allow him to maintain currency on student and client care. He stayed with us at our expense and re-introduced many people to the underwater world in the form of refresher dives.

After Uwe, we started the internship. We invite applications from professional people who have attained dive master qualification who would like to hone their skills, or simply keep current. IT and management candidates are particularly welcome, as you are often able to hone our skills in some of these areas.

We still have one vacancy for 2006 June-Sept and One for Christmas-New Year 2006.

Dive Instructors:

Dive instructors are always welcome to submit a two page CV (max) in to swahilidivers@intafrica.com.

Please stress whether the employment required is 3 months, months or 10 months.

Benefits: Accommodation /Full Board./All taxes paid/All permits paid/Training & guidance.  

Reasonable remuneration commensurate with experience.

NB: Instructors need to be paid up and liability and medevac (hyperbaric and health) insured. They also need to bring their own dive equipment.

Hotel Receptionists/junior managerial staff who are also divers and wish to have a break from life are always invited to apply for short term jobs or long term paradise jobs.
